9/22/2009 Ellie & BuddyWarning: this cute kid story may only be cute to Ellie's parents but mother of said child feels compelled to leave a record of it here.
This morning as I was about to put Ellie into her chair for breakfast, she asked if she could get her Buddy Bear, a beautiful, large bear she received for Christmas in 2007 from her Grandpy and Grandmy (Englizian) and a toy she has absolutely come to love. She came downstairs with it and placed him in his own chair, directly across from hers at the table. She asked me if he could have his own bowl of Cheerios, just like she was about to eat, and asked for milk as well. I drew the line at milk but gave her a bowl of Cheerios for Buddy and she picked out a spoon for him and brought it to his place-setting. She and her Buddy happily "ate" breakfast together. When I got her down and cleaned up, she went over to Buddy and asked him, "All done?" Apparently he was finished as she then took his bowl, brought it to me at the sink, put away his spoon, got out a washcloth and cleaned his paws and face, just like her own routine before she gets down from the table. What a helper she is and what a big girl.
